I haven't posted many toys recently, not because there aren't any around but because I'm trying really hard not to bankrupt myself by browsing toy sites daily. This is of course difficult but restraint can be learned^^. Here are two that caught my eye recently.
Lightening Blanka- A one off prototype from SOTA Toys being auctioned on eBay February 1st, with all proceeds going to the relief effort in Haiti. This will undoubtedly go for a small fortune for several reasons: it's for charity, it's a one off, SF fans are crazy and last but not least its just as awesome as the full colour statue in the same pose.
Also on the radar recently is this sweet figure of Ayane from Dead or Alive 4 by Kotobukiya. Pre-order from Play-Asia if so inclined. Personally I really like the almost translucent effect on the hair but I'm not 100% percent sure on the eye detail- is it just me or do they look a little dull?

I reckon the eyes are meant to look like that. So she looks all the more rape-able. If Japanese pop culture has taught me anything it's that those guys love their rape.
