hype.get();

Finally, BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger has been given a UK release date. In only one month (19-03-10) we can finally get our hands on it, just after the sequel has been announced for home consoles (but we will no doubt have to wait extra huge amount of time for that).

This is the collectors edition, which is all kinds of extra awesome. The 2 hour DVD describing character specifics and tactics is a great bonus. Add on to that a book of the art, including (for the otaku among you) the following two and you can haz win.

As an extra bonus, if you pre-order from Amazon, Play or HMV you can pick this package up for the same price as the standard edition. You better be quick though, they are limited in number.

Neo Empire get huge credit for brightening my day.

[EDIT] Here's an old trailer/review for anyone that's not actually seen it.

*spoiler alert* IGN gave it 9.4/10 *spoiler over*

Thats probably just the limited edition. Give it a few months and you will find the regular edition for pittance. I will have plenty to keep me busy til then. They should have released this months ago when there wasnt a flood of awesome games coming.

Well, I'm getting it anyway, something to do until SSF4 (and I'll play it a bit after no doubt).

@bojack
Only the special edition will run out so do as vworks says and wait a bit, or you could get it and sacrifice one of the others. Its the last thing I get before SSF4 anyway (bioshock 2 will have to come down in price a bit for me)

@cront I mentioned about waiting for it to come down in price. After purchasing Mass Effect 2, Dantes Inferno, and Bioshock 2 (all awesome by way) Blazblue is gonna have to wait, and as good as blazblue looks its gonna get over shadowed by upcoming better titles. This game has been out overseas for a while and could have done with a release before xmas when there was nothing out. I would have bought it then but with AVP, Battlefield BC2, Heavy Rain, FFXIII, Splinter Cell Conviction, Red Dead Redemption, and SSF4, I dont think its good enough to worth sacrificing any of those titles.

@bojack
Don't know about the 'good enough' bit, but god damn you got a lotta games to buy ^_^

You forgot Alan Wake btw...

@cront And yes it does look gorgeous! Its a shame cos I know I would love it. At one point I prefered playing the guilty gear games to SF and it aint easy deciding not to buy that sweet limited edition. I suppose I could dabble into the overdraft. Its a tough one.

@cront 'good enough' was the wrong choice in words. I know its awesome its just those games are more of a priority. And I doubt I will be able to afford all the games I mentioned especially when 3 of them are out the same day. I think the mostly likely one to sacrifice would be FFXIII.

@bojack, you could always buy the cheap one in a few months, after I've had a metric butt ton of practice - I'll show you the DVD and book when they come ;)

I was avoiding watching the vids for this on purpose because I knew what would happen!! I really want to get this, no question, but same as Boj & Works I'm not sure I can justify this and SSFIV and everyone will get the latter. It. Just. Looks so damn gorgeous. Even the menu system was making me cry with visual joy and the cast looks phenomenal.

You can always get this.

Well I've ordered it now. It comes three weeks after I get paid. Win.

@JRTB - if you fancy a trip to the smoke to give it a go hit me with that info punch
